Jesus the Substitute
The only sacrifice God accepts for our sin is the sacrifice that He has provided.
Abraham’s near sacrifice of his son Isaac validates this, as God stopped Abraham from taking Isaac’s life and provided the Ram as a substitute instead. Abraham’s faith in God is what saved him, Isaac, and us personally when we accept this personal substitution on our behalf. Abraham and Isaac’s story was a prophecy of the actual sacrifice by God of His Son Jesus Christ. Do you have faith in what God has done for you? When you accept this free gift and put your faith in God, it affects not only your immediate family, but all those around you and generations to come. Your Faith in God makes the Impossible Possible.
Indeed, Jesus said, “For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again. No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father” (John 10:17–18).
